Framecraft Products Limited was established
as a family business over forty years ago in 1960.
It was originally involved in the production of coat hangers, playground equipment and stacking chairs.
The company has grown over the years and was reconstructed in 1997, becoming Framecraft Furniture Limited. The company remains in family ownership with a daughter and son of the original owner,
taking over the manufacturing side of the business.
Framecraft Furniture today employs approximately 45 local people and has achieved a turnover of $4M.
It operates from a large industrial premises in Maces Road, Christchurch and has become a well respected manufacturer of quality products for a large variety of markets.
The company has a large comprehensive Powder Coating and Metalworking shop for all tubular and
steel work, a significant Woodworking and Polish Shop and complementary Upholstery and Finishing Shops.
The company exports to Australia and has products supplied to the Pacific Islands.
Framecraft is looking to expand these markets.
